Bangor Speech Festival 🎭✨ Mon 23rd March - Fri 27th March
9:00am - 7:00pm
The Bangor Speech Festival is an annual event celebrating the art of speech, drama, and effective communication for young people across Northern Ireland. 🌟 Organised by the Bangor and District Primary Schools’ Speech Festival Committee, it provides pupils with a wonderful opportunity to develop confidence, creativity, and public speaking skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. Children can enter a wide range of classes, and this year Stand Out NI will be offering lessons in poetry and verse speaking for any pupils who wish to take part. Each performance is adjudicated by a professional speech and drama examiner, who provides constructive feedback and awards certificates or medals for achievement. Please note that participation in the festival is completely optional — pupils from Stand Out NI are not required to enter, but those who are interested are warmly encouraged to give it a go. The Bangor Speech Festival is a fantastic way to build your child’s confidence, celebrate expression, and nurture a lifelong love of performance and language. 🎭✨

Parents are responsible for bringing their child to the event. All pupils who enter will be provided with the necessary materials and will be fully guided during their Speech and Drama classes in preparing for the festival.
